DURABILIT partners with Viafrica
DURABILIT supports the mission of Viafrica to increase the use of ICT on schools in Africa. We find it relevant to have the correct balance of the 3P's: People, Planet and Profit. DURABILIT support the projects of Viafrica throught providing network equipment and expertise.
Through the supply as well as the support during the implementation of network equipment, local African schools (People) get the opportunity to learn about technology that is seen as standard in developed countries, and they can use ICT to increase their knowledge and access more resources. However, just delivering hardware is not enough. That's why DURABILIT also offers support and troubleshooting services so that the local user can maintain and upgrade their network.
The fact that refurbished equipment is used is good for the environment (Planet). The most obvious reasons are less pollution during production and less waste.
All of the above means that local schools, the local population and also the region in general benefit from this initiative (Profit). The newly found knowledge will help to support sustainable development in the regions in which Viafrica is active.
